The main Idea is to take an existing character from a fighting game and "re imagine" them. I chose to do Kratos as a U.S. Army Soldier.

Werewolf Update

Thanks to a suggestion from a friend, I am steering clear of the "cliche", run of the mill werewolf. I've decided to do a few sketches to get a better idea of what the final character should be. I plan to do a sketch of a more "human" look (mid transformation) and a sketch with more of a "wolf" influence (full transformation). Hopefully, you guys can let me know which one you like best.

Anyways, here is the first sketch. It took me about an hour. Still want to do more to it. Let me know what you think.

Competition - Conan

Okay, so I just entered a sculpting contest on CG Channel. The theme is "Homage to Frank Frazetta" and I chose to do a sculpt of Frank's version of Conan. Here is a few hours of sculpting. Mostly proportions and a little detailing on the torso. Still a lot to do. Hope you like it. I am also in the process of practicing anatomy, so if you see anything wrong (anatomically or in the design), please let me know.

Livin with the suck

After attending an anatomy workshop at the school of gnomon visual effects, I realized one of my biggest weaknesses is not knowing how to except the fact that my art is not going to look as good as I would like it to throughout most of the process of creation. "Living with the Suck" is what Ryan Kingslien called it. He said he got the phrase from world renown concept artist Carlos Huante. I figure if these artistic powerhouses go through the same issues as me, I can learn to "Live with the Suck". I think a good way for me to practice this best is to post a lot more work up and stop being so insecure. So here are a couple quick sketches. A lot more to come!

Another quick sketch in Zbrush. Always trying to improve my abilities. I used the RS_SculpyYellow matcap created by Ralf Stumpf downloaded from www.gnomonology.com. I really like to use these matcaps because they give a great deal of variety very quickly.
